Jim Henry Johnson
July 21, 1939 - August 5, 2016
Jim H. Johnson of Hutto,TX (77) was born July 21, 1939 in Lubbock, TX. He passed on to heaven August 5, 2016.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 7 at Beck Funeral Home in Pflugeville, TX from 4-6pm.
Services will be held in the chapel of Beck Funeral Home in Pflugerville on Monday, August 8 at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in the Hutto Lutheran Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Jarrod Purvis, Jim Jordan, Chad Foster, Jim Jansen, Richard Sweeney and Rob Bocanegra.
Jim is survived by his wife/soulmate Kay Johnson. Also survived by two daughters, Tomie Johnson Purvis of Amarillo,TX and Kathy Foster-Jordan and husband Jim Jordan of Art, TX; four grandchildren Chad Foster of Hutto, Krista Foster of Round Rock,TX, Jarrod Purvis of Lovington, NM and Reba Purvis of Amarillo; and two great-grandchildren Lane Foster and Skylar Randig of Round Rock.
He graduated from Three Way High School, received a BBA from Eastern New Mexico University and a Master's in Agriculture from Texas A&M University. Jim was a CPA and owed his own firm in downtown Hutto where he practiced with his wife until his passing.
His civic activities included Lions Club and Hutto Chamber of Commerce where he held various offices over the years. He was a long-time member of the Century Club of Texas A&M University.
Jim enjoyed raising cattle and was an enthusiastic supporter of Texas A&M football. Also, he was devoted to New Hope Christian Church of Hutto where he held various church positions over the years.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to New Hope Christian Church-Building Fund or the charity of your choice.
