Walter Edward Stallings, Jr.
March 2, 1931 - July 20, 2016

Walter "Edward" Stallings was born on March 2, 1931 to Eula and Walter Stallings in Terrell, TX. Edward lived most of his life in Terrell. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1952 with a degree in agronomy. After graduating from college, he served two years (1952-53) in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was stationed in California. There he met and married his wife, Pauline Rollins (now deceased), and they were married 36 years. Upon his return to Texas after the war, Edward ran Stallings Implement Co. with his two brothers until 1986. In 2002 he moved to Round Rock, TX to be near his only daughter and her family. He died peacefully in his home on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the age of 85. He is survived by his daughter, Shevawn Walzel, her husband, Jack; granddaughters: Kathryn, Allison, and Jenny Walzel; brothers: Dick Stallings, David Stallings and wife Ruth Ann as well as several extended family members and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday July 23, 2016 at Max Slayton Funeral Chapel. The family receiving friends beginning at 1:00p.m. prior to the service with a private interment to follow.
