Kelly Lee McClennen

August 1, 2016

Kelly Lee McClennen began his eternal life with his savior on August 1, 2016 at the age of 48. Kelly was born in Houston, TX on December 6, 1967 to the late Doyle and Bobbie McClennen. After graduating high school from St. John’s in 1986 he attended Texas A&M where he majored in Petroleum Engineering. He graduated in 1991 and began his 25 year career in the oil and gas industry with Mobil in Bakersfield, CA. That same year he met his loving wife Stacey Sites McClennen, whom he married in 1995. After spending time in Nova Scotia the family returned to Houston, TX where he continued his career with Exxon Mobil. Kelly’s greatest joy was spending time with his family which often included coaching for his children. Kelly had a very strong faith and love of God. He was an example of true Christian leadership in his home and shared his love of Christ by volunteering and mentoring through his church home Lakewood United Methodist. Kelly was a devoted father, husband, and friend whose kind and understanding demeanor touched all those who had the fortune of knowing him. He raised his children to value honesty and integrity and to always work hard and never stop striving towards your goals. The values he instilled in his children through his life choices set an example of how to love and live life to the fullest. Kelly’s devotion to his wife and their beautiful marriage taught their children the meaning of true love and was an example of a strong relationship. Kelly is survived by his loving wife Stacey Sites McClennen, his three children, daughter Emily McClennen Paine and her husband Jonathan, sons Kyle and Connor McClennen. Kelly’s siblings, Mark and Jerri McClennen, Scott and Darla McClennen, and sister Leah and Bryan Foutz. The Memorial Service will be held Friday August 5, 2016 at 2:00pm at Klein Funeral home, 1400 West Main St, Tomball, Texas 77375.
