Chad D. Barcellona
July 8, 2016

The world lost a quick-witted and loving soul with the sudden passing of Chad Barcellona, 44, of Houston, on July 8, 2016.
In addition to his wife Lisa, Chad is survived by his children Peyton (13), twins Hadley and Cooper (9), his father Jon of Florida, brothers Jon and David of Dallas, several nieces and nephews, and many treasured friends and co-workers.
Chad is preceded in death by his mother Carol Barcellona also of Florida.
Chad was born in Dallas, Texas in 1972, and was a 1990 graduate of Highland Park High School where he was known for both his academic and athletic prowess and then continued his education at Texas A&M in Galveston where he earned a degree in Maritime Administration.
After working in the maritime field and as a realtor, he discovered his true calling in education as a high school special education teacher. He will be missed at Cypress Ridge High School where he has served for the past 8 years.
Forever a fan of the outdoors, Chad was an avid hunter and fisherman, and when indoors, loved to tune-in to talk radio. Sports, especially Dallas Cowboys football, and dogs were also high on his list. Chad had many amazing friends that he held near and dear to his heart, but first and foremost, he was the proudest father and husband who perpetually held his family in his heart and as his ultimate priority.
A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 11:00 am with a gathering for family and friends immediately following at:
St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church
7810 Cypresswood Drive
Spring, Texas 77379

The family would like to request that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to one of Chad’s favorite charitable organizations: Ducks Unlimited or the Coastal Conservation Association.
