Linda Lee Johnson, 70, passed away on May 5, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Enrique and Frieda Munoz Herrera and brother Roberto Herrera.
Linda graduated from William Adams High School in Alice, Texas, in 1962. She received her Bachelors of Education with Reading Specialization in 1973, from Texas A&I University Kingsville, and also received her Mid-Management Certificate. Linda worked in the following school districts: Lompoc, California, San Antonio, Ben Bolt-Palito Blanco, Premont, Austin, and retired as an Assistant Principal for Austin ISD. In 2010, Linda opened her dream restaurant, 'The Blue Ribbon Deli and Coffee Bar.
Linda leaves behind to cherish her memories, her husband, Jose Johnson Jr., two sons, Jose Johnson III (Monica) of Harlingen, Texas, and Carlos Enrique Johnson (Bonnie) of Houston, Texas, one daughter, Maria McGuire (Scott) of Kingsville, Texas, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two brothers, Manuel and Federico Herrera.
Visitation will be held at Kingsville Memorial Funeral Home with a rosary to be held.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Premont Cemetery.
