Ronald Louis May Sr.

Ronald Louis May Sr., 77, of Kingwood, Texas passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, July 11th, 2016. He was born October 18, 1938 to the late Louis and Faye May. Ronnie graduated from Humble High School in 1957 and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University and the Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of 1961. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Jean May Cooke and Peggy May.
Ronnie was the dearly loved husband of Clarice Blair May for 55 years. He will forever be remembered by his beloved children Camille Morrison, Dorothy Alspaugh, Rhonda Kelly and Ronald May Jr.; his in-laws Robert Morrison, Sean Kelly and Paige Wood May; his treasured grandchildren Rob and Lauren Morrison; Andrea and Derek Aegerter; Clare Morrison; Katherine Morrison; Ashley Alspaugh; Amanda, Ryan and Megan Kelly; and Preston, Chase, and Tucker May; and his niece Shelley Snow Robinson. Ronnie had countless other friends and family who were blessed to know him.
Ronnie was a loving husband, father and grandfather who thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He truly had a heart of gold and was generous beyond compare. His gregarious personality led to many life-long friendships and brought joy to those who were fortunate to know him. Ronnie enjoyed a variety of activities including hunting, fishing, barbeque cook-outs, spending time at the beach, researching family history, listening to the stories of others and reminiscing about past accomplishments. One of his greatest joys came from sharing his knowledge and experience to others. This was especially evident while passing on nuggets of wisdom to his 11 grandchildren whenever the opportunity presented itself. Ronnie truly had a zest for life and he lived his to the fullest.
Visitation was held at Rosewood Funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2016.
A funeral mass took place at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at St. Martha's Catholic Church, with the burial immediately following in Rosewood Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Ronnie May's name to St. Martha's Catholic Church benefiting St. Martha's Kitchen.
