John Marshall Reeves, Jr

John Marshall Reeves, Jr., 83, passed away peacefully at home on June 20, 2016 surrounded by his family.

John was born on November 2,1932 in Wichita Falls, Texas to John and Ruby Reeves. He was raised in Belcherville, Texas. In 1949, he graduated from Nocona High School at the age of 16. He was in the Reserved Officer Training Corp at Texas A&M, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in 1953.

John served our country in the United States Army as First Lieutenant, Ordnance Corps from 1953-1955, stationed in Korea.

In 1956, John began his career with the Central Intelligence Agency and retired 30 years later in 1986. He started a second career with General Dynamics in Fort Worth, Texas, to retire again in 1998.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, a son and daughter-in-law, a daughter and son-in-law, three granddaughters, and a great-granddaughter. He will be dearly missed.

John was devoted to God, family, and country.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Scott Morris Funeral Home in Nocona, TX. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 27 at 10:00 am at the Church of Christ in Nocona, Texas. A military interment will follow at the Belcherville Cemetery in Belcherville, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of John to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation ()
