1930 - 2016

John L. “Bubba” Cook, age 85, passed away June 26, 2016 at his home near Nixon. He was born on November 30, 1930 in Nixon, and was preceded in death by his parents, Loyd D. and Aline Jones Cook; his sister, LaRue Cook Manford; and a son-in-law, Bo Brzozowski. Bubba is survived by his wife of 66 years, Nancy Patteson Cook; his children: Linda Parks and husband Gary of Nixon, John L. Cook Jr. and wife Laura of College Station, Connie Brzozowski of Cost, JoLyn Henderson and husband Sam of Nixon; his grandchildren: Robby Harvey and wife Patricia, Jeff Harvey and wife Jennifer, Lynsey Valencia and husband Dan, Jack Cook and wife Codi, James Cook and wife Cheyenne, Anna Cook, Kacie Henke and husband Jeremy, Ty Brzozowski and wife Baylee, Trevor Henderson, and Kelby Henderson; his great-grandchildren: Bailey Harvey, Cook Harvey, Blaine Harvey, Brett Harvey, Grace Valencia, Kate Valencia, Holdyn Morrow, Kolby Morrow, Truitt Pearson, Keeli Henke, and Braize Brzozowski; nieces and nephews; as well as other loving family and many friends.

A Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2016 from 5:30PM – 8:00 PM at Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon. The Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Finch Chapel in Nixon with the Rev. Jim Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow at the Nixon Cemetery.
