Robert Lee “Boone” Hans II

Robert Lee “Boone” Hans II, age 31, of Calallen, Texas passed away May 26, 2016. He was born October 2, 1984 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Robert Lee (Bobby) and Mary Ann Hans. Growing up he was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Alice, Texas and is currently a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. He was an avid hunter, a fighting Texas Aggie (class of ’08) and enjoyed tailgating and attending games at Kyle Field. Boone was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend who fought a long and courageous battle with cancer. His body may have given out, but his mind and heart never did.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee (Bobby) Hans.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Hans of Calallen, Texas; two sisters, Vanessa (Brad) Downey of Tyler, Texas and Melissa (Jason) Morris of Calallen, Texas; niece, Ryann Downey; nephews, Mason and Maddox Morris.
Visitation will begin at 6 P.M. and the Rosary will be recited at 7 P.M., May 30, 2016 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 A.M. Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with Rev. Bill Marquis as celebrant. Burial will follow in Robstown Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Hans, Scott Hans, Daniel Salas, Skye Yocum, Derek Worthington, and Andrew Napier.
