Clyde Chester Castleberry, 81, of Watson died June 12, 2016 at Seton Williamson in Round Rock
Visitation will be June 14, 2016 from 5-7:00 p.m. at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 306 East Polk, Burnet. A private family graveside service will be held June 15, 2016 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Watson Cemetery in Watson. Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
Mr. Castleberry was born October 1, 1934 on a ranch in Burnet County. His parents were Corb and Ruby Castleberry, and he was an only child.
He attended school in Briggs, Texas, where he graduated in 1954.
He attended Texas A&M University in College Station and obtained a Bachelor in Animal Science in 1958. He then attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock and obtained Masters Degree in Soil Conservation in 1959
On May 30, 1958, he married Janice Stovall and they had three children. They lived in Lampasas and later moved to the family ranch in Watson.
Mr. Castleberry was the owner of Lampasas Insurance Agency, Castleberry Real Estate, Castleberry's Triple C Ranch and Castleberry's Exotics. Throughout his entire career his greatest passion was always found on the family ranch with his parents, wife. children and grandchildren.
Survivors include wife, Janice Castleberry of Watson, one daughter, Jani Castleberry of Lampasas and two sons, "Rocky" Clyde Castleberry Jr and wife Alice of Watson and Bryan Castleberry and wife Carmen of Watson; grandchildren Adam Johnson, Jessica Johnson, Amy Beth Bolden, Elizabeth Castleberry , Taylor Castleberry, Garrett Castleberry and Connor Castleberry.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Bertram Church of Christ, P.O. Box 494, Bertram, Texas 78605 for their mission fund.
