Linden Alexandra Reeves Blackmon
August 18, 1954 - June 12, 2016

FORT WORTH -- Linden Alexandra Reeves Blackmon, 61, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016, after a nine year battle with breast cancer. Linden used her courageous battle with cancer to inspire and bless her family, friends, horse buddies, co-workers and many others.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or a charity of choice.
Linden was born Aug. 18, 1954, in Fort Worth to Elaine and Walter Reeves, Jr. She graduated from Paschal High School in 1972 and Texas A&M in 1976, followed by a Master's degree in 1978. Linden married Tom Blackmon in 1981, a marriage of 35 years. In 1991, Linden and Tom were blessed with their son, Kyle. Linden was a devoted horse woman, acquiring her first horse at eleven years old. She progressed from GDRA horse events and playdays to an avid participant in NCHA. Linden worked at the City of Fort Worth as an environmental inspector then accepted a position at Mrs. Baird's Bakery in 1994. She continued employment after the change to Bimbo Bakeries USA.
When you die, it does not mean that you lose to cancer. You beat cancer by how you live.
God worked through Linden to inspire us and bless us. To honor her we can continue this inspiration by how we live and comfort others.
Linden was preceded in death by her father, Walter Reeves, Jr.
