Paul Leroy Aduddell
Paul Leroy Aduddell passed away peacefully at Coldwater Manor on May 15, 2016, in Stratford, TX.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Friday, May 20, 2016, at the First Christian Church in Stratford, with pastors Terry Stegall and Rusty Hancock officiating.
Paul was born on October 8, 1939, to Paul and Mildred Aduddell of Stratford. He was a 1958 graduate of Stratford High School and went on to graduate from Texas A&M in 1963 with an Agricultural Economics degree. He was a member of the Company D-1 “Spider D” Corp.
Paul grew up with a love for cattle and horses. He showed cattle extensively in High School and went on to raise cattle and show horses for the most of the rest of his life. Paul was a farmer and rancher. He owned and operated Sierra Vista Ranch. He retired from the Texas Dept. of Criminal Justice. Paul always had an eye for a good horse.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mildred Aduddell.
He is survived by three children, Deide and husband Ted Zieman live in Conlen, David and wife Jennifer Aduddell live in Amarillo, and Don and wife Maryrene Aduddell live in Stratford. He has seven grandchildren, Cheyenne and Channing Zieman, Austin and Taylor Aduddell, Heather and Stephanie Seiler, and Connor Esparza.
He is also survived by his sister, Frankie and husband Bud Shields of Stratford as well as a brother Cleo and wife Debbie Aduddell of Stratford.
The family requests memorials be made to Coldwater Manor Activity Fund, P.O. Box 1189, Stratford, TX 79084. The family would also like to sincerely thank all the staff at Coldwater Manor for extending Paul’s time here on earth and for becoming part of his family this past year.
