Percy Sanderson
July 8, 1938 - April 23, 2016

Percy Lee Sanderson, 77, of Leander Texas began his eternal life April 23, 2016. Percy, son of Clyde and Ivy Sanderson, loving husband of Margie Sanderson, passed away at his home in Leander, Texas after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He is survived by his wife, Margie Sanderson; daughter, Joni Maass; daughter, Teri Moore and her husband Glenn Moore; granddaughter Kari Gorman and her husband Matt Gorman; granddaughter, Kelly Maass; grandson, Danny Moore; granddaughter, Lindsey Stella and her husband Kenny Stella; sister, Wanda Smith and her husband Paul Smith; great-grandson, Ryan Gorman; great-grandson, Mason Gorman; niece, Sheila Smith; niece, Suzanne Frazier and her husband Ricky Frazier; great niece, Lacey Lynch and husband Phillip Lynch; great nephew, Bret Frazier and wife Reagan Frazier; two great-great nieces and one great-great nephew.

Percy worked in the Oil Industry as a Construction Manager in various parts of the world, including: Saudi Arabia, Holland, Alaska, Malaysia and Brunei. When asked, “where is your favorite place in the world?” His answer was "Liberty Hill, Texas" where he built his retirement home, which he later sold when he moved to Leander.

Percy loved spending time with his family more than anything. He loved watching his grandchildren grow up and going to their special events.

Percy went to grade school in Nederland, Texas. He was an exceptional athlete with many honors. He then went to Texas A&M where he pitched for the Aggie baseball team.

His Words: “Every day is a holiday”………And that is how he lived his life!

The family would like to give a heart-felt thank you to A-Med Hospice, all the nurses, social workers, caregivers, and the Chaplain that nursed and cared for Percy.

He was a loving, caring, supportive, generous Husband; Father; Brother; Uncle; and Grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice, or to Alzheimer's Texas, 3520 Executive Center Drive, Suite #140, Austin, Texas 78731 in honor of Percy.

The Funeral Service will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 27, 2016 in the Chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home. A reception will be held following the service at Ramsey Funeral Home.
