Bill Wayne Kimmey
May 19, 1933 - May 2, 2016

Bill Wayne Kimmey, age 82, a loving husband, father and grandfather passed away on May 2, 2016. Bill was born on May 19, 1933 in Angleton, Texas to Vera Jane (Bingham) and Arthur Bert Kimmey. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother George Kimmey, and his former wife Faye Kimmey.

Bill attended San Jacinto High School and graduated from Texas A&M (1955), where he was a proud member of the Corps of Cadets. He then became a Captain in the U.S. Air Force, flying F-86 Interceptors. He worked as a petroleum geologist for Shell Oil Company and Southern Natural Gas, and as a geological consultant for 22 years for Stone Oil Co. Bill loved his work and enjoyed the results of his many successful ventures. He was a man of great integrity, and was well liked and well respected.

Bill married Faye Williams, the mother of his three children, and they had many happy years together until her passing in 1993. He had the good fortune of finding love and happiness again when he met and married his beloved Nancy. They enjoyed life to its fullest-building a new home, traveling the world, mentoring second graders in math and reading, hosting holiday dinners and family cruises, and keeping up with the activities of their combined six children and seven grandchildren. They enjoyed 21 beautiful, loving years together.

Bill is survived by his wife Nancy, his son Michael Kimmey and granddaughter Katie, daughter Kim Kimmey and husband Michael Skinner, son Anthony Kimmey, wife Patricia and granddaughters Jordan and Nicole, stepdaughter Kelly Culligan and grandson Alex, stepson Michael Dowler, wife Michelle and granddaughter Mia, stepdaughter Karen Schulman, husband Mitchell and grandchildren Austin and Hannah.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home located at 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 10:00 am at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the charity of your choice.
