Charles Drabek
SHINER: Charles A. Drabek, age 78, passed away Friday, April 15, 2016.
He was born January 21, 1938 in Lavaca County to the late Adolph and Eleanor Langhoff Drabek.
He was a proud Texas A&M graduate, (class of '61) with an engineering degree. He went to work for Walter P. Moore and Associates where he remained until he and a co worker started their own company, Structural Associates, Inc.
Charles married Marianne Zimmerman in 1972 and they moved into to Bellaire, TX.
Survivors are his wife, Marianne Zimmerman Drabek of Houston; sister, Virgie Welch of Shiner, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Marcella Johnson Peck and two brothers, Gene and James Drabek.
Visitation is 11 to 1 p.m., Friday, April 22, 2016 at United Dr. Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Shiner with Funeral Service at 1 p.m., with Pastor Paul Muehlbrad and Pastor Larry Smith officiating. Burial to follow at Shiner Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to United Dr. Martin Luther Lutheran Building Fund or charity of your choice.
