Christopher C. "Kip" Feinen
1955 - 2016

Christopher "Kip" Craig Feinen age 60, of Ashville, N.Y., passed away unexpectedly and peacefully in the company of friends, at 6PM, on Thursday, March 31st, 2016.


Kip was a graduate of Texas A&M University, in the field of metallurgical engineering. He was a real estate investor and became a divemaster beginning his own private company, which facilitated the inspection of NY State Bridges under the Rebuild NY Transportation Bond Act. His heroic actions during the Blizzard of '77 have been both depicted and chaptered in the book, entitled White Death, by Erno Rossi. " He was a dedicated teacher of Welding and Fabrication at Ellicottville Boces, where he later went on to become a long term and devoted Principal of the Erie 2 BOCES Hewes Career and Technical Center championing the cause for Integrated Academics in Vocational Programing. He was a loving father, husband, brother, uncle and friend to many.


Kip is survived by his beloved daughter Jordan Michelle Feinen. His siblings, E. Kendra Ward, Dr. Penelope (William) Klein, Deborah (Mark) Harsch, and Kimberly Feinen. He was an attentive and loving father figure to Jaime Venning, Jeff Venning, Matthew (Alison) Debo, Zachary Debo, Alexis Tischler, Emma Feinen, Mark Harsch, Renee Harsch, Jennifer (Tom) Hodges and Jeremy Ward. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joan Moran and Edward Feinen, a former president of the United Press and his siblings, E. Dennis Feinen and Deidre Feinen, as well as his nephew Eric Feinen.


He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he so gently and gracefully touched.


A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed.


Memorials may be made to a scholarship in his honor. Donations by check can be made payable to Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES, and mailed to E2CC BOCES Carrier Center Business Office, 8685 Erie Road, Angola, NY 14006. Please include a letter clearly stating the donation is for the Kip Feinen CTE Memorial Scholarship.
