Justin Havens Moore

Justin Havens Moore, 31, passed away at his home in Denton, TX, on March 30, 2015, after struggling throughout his life with severe congenital heart disease. Justin surrendered peacefully surrounded by family and friends.

Born in Stephenville, TX, on May 25, 1983, to Linda and (Robert) Paige Moore, Justin attended Stephenville schools, graduating from Stephenville High School in 2001. Justin achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and participated in 4-H, UIL Number Sense, and soccer. In 2005, Justin graduated from the Texas A&M University Dwight Look College of Engineering with a B.S. degree in Industrial Distribution and was employed by Applied Technologies in their leadership development program, working inside sales in industrial manufacturing in Atlanta, GA. In 2008, Justin moved back to Texas to be closer to his family due to increasing health problems. He was Territory Manager with NSK Applied Industrial Technologies in sales of industrial ball bearings in the Southwest Region - Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. In 2013, he accepted a Regional Sales Manager position in his specialty of industrial bearings with WJB Group.

In 2010, Justin became a dedicated father of his beautiful baby girl, Averie Marie Moore, and always enjoyed taking her to the park, cooking out, and teaching his "shining star" how to fish. Justin's favorite hobbies were watching Dallas Cowboy and Texas A&M football, fishing, cooking, debating with his mom, and traveling. He visited his sister, Maren, when she lived in England, and enjoyed trips to France and Spain. Justin was a fan of Anthony Bourdain and the Food Network, often trying new cuisine and recipes. His innovative expertise in technology helped his family advance in that area also. He was a loyal Aggie, a generous soul, a loving father, a reliable employee, and a dependable - albeit wry and witty - friend to all he met.

Justin accomplished a great deal in his lifetime despite suffering great pain and requiring extra effort for each task. He never gave up hope of a heart-liver transplant. In March, he and his family traveled to UCLA for an evaluation, but was not accepted for a transplant due to complications of his disease. Throughout, Justin showed great courage and perseverance in dealing with his medical issues and remained unequivocally positive. He is missed very much by his family, friends, and his golden retriever, Toby.

Justin is survived by his parents, Paige and Linda Moore, of Sanger, TX, his sister, Maren Moxom with her husband Nathaniel Moxom and son Raleigh Moxom, of Hong Kong, his daughter, Averie and her mother Jayme Wright, of Ft. Worth, TX, and many close and dear friends. Justin was an organ donor with South West Alliance. The celebration of Justin's life is April 4 at the Downtowner in Denton, Texas, at 11:00 a.m. His ashes will be interred at a later date next to his beloved grandfather in Connecticut. In lieu of flowers, a scholarship trust fund has been established for his daughter, Averie, at http://www.gofundme.com/qmg62 .
