Death: Jan. 21, 2015
Larry B. Smith, 74, the former editor and publisher of the Brady Standard-Herald newspaper, died Wednesday evening after a long battle with Alzheimers.
Larry followed in his father's footsteps as editor and publisher of the newspaper having returned to his hometown in 1967 after serving in the US Navy as an officer. He served as only the third editor in the 105-year history of the newspaper.
He is survived by his wife, a sister, one daughter, one son, as well as four grandchildren.
Larry donated his body to science hoping it will benefit Alzheimers research. In lieu of a funeral, the family will host a visitation at Mary Ann's home on Friday, Jan. 23, from 5-7 p.m.
Burial:
Body donated to medical science
Specifically: Mr. Smith lovingly donated his body to heath science. No formal services will be held.
