KELLER A. THORMAHLEN
ATHENS-A memorial service for Keller A. Thormahlen is scheduled for 1:00 P M Friday at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Chapel .
Keller passed away March 4, 2015 in Athens.
He was born December 27, 1960 in Abilene to Keller D. and Patricia A. Howard Thormahlen. Keller grew up in Kaufman. He was very active in his church choir and in Young Life. Church was an important part of his life and he carried that into adulthood. He attended school in Kaufman and continued his education at Texas A & M University receiving his BS in Biomedical Science and his Masters in Toxicology. He had a long and fulfilling career working as a Senior Toxicologist for the Texas Department of Health. In his spare time Keller enjoyed traveling and camping wherever he was able to set up his tent. He was a voracious reader and enjoyed introducing people to new authors. Cooking was also another of his passions that he enjoyed sharing.
Survivors include his parents; his brother Karl; sister Greta, brother-in-law Alan, uncles Jerry, Ray and Roger, aunts Frieda, Pam and Karen and numerous cousins and nephews.
