Roger A Clark
June 14, 1936 - February 4, 2015

Roger Allan Clark peacefully left this world in the early morning hours of Wednesday, February 4, 2015 after a hard fought battle against leukemia.

Born June 14, 1936 in Beaumont, Texas, Roger graduated from South Park High School in 1954 and spent summers poolside as a Life Guard at Alice Keith Park.

An Aggie, Roger was a proud member of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets Squadron 16 from 1954-1957. In 1960, he earned a degree in Chemical Engineering from Lamar University, and then embarked on a career in the Petroleum Industry working for Magnolia Oil, Goodrich Gulf, Amerada Hess, Quintana Howell and Kerr McGee. He was a long time member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). A life-long tennis player and avid Dallas Cowboys fan, Roger enjoyed his well-deserved retirement for the past 20 years. He proudly displayed the American Flag and never offered a prayer without asking God to protect our nation’s military and to guide the hearts of our world’s leaders.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall Nolan and Mattie Lue Clark and his brother, Keith Clark. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia Hardin Clark, children Susan Dollar, Shari Brosofski and Arthur Clark, seven grandchildren and one great-grand daughter.

A celebration of Roger’s life will be held this Saturday, February 14 from 1-3pm at Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Corpus Christi.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Roger A. Clark to Leukemia Research, MD Anderson Cancer Center, 1515 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, TX 77030 www.gifts.mdanderson.org
