Mark Wayne Spiekerman went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, February 6, 2015. He lost his 7 year brave battle with ALS. Mark was born in Corpus Christi, Texas. He graduated from John Marshall High School in San Antonio and then attended Texas A&M University in College Station where he received his bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He was preceded in death by his nephew, Shawn Chilton. He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Melissa; children Emily, Douglas, and Abby; parents Martin and Dr. Patricia Spiekerman; brothers Matthew Spiekerman (Keitha) and John Spiekerman (Becky); nieces Maggie, Kate, and Caroline and nephew William; grandmother Mary Tepera; in-laws Lalo and Bootsie Gutierrez; and countless other family and friends. Along with his constant smile, amazing attitude, ceaseless passion for his Aggies, Mark will be remembered for his servant's heart, steadfast faith, love and devotion to his family. We would like to thank all of Mark's family, friends and caregivers for their constant support. All services will be held at St. Anthony Mary Claret Catholic Church as follows: visitation on Tuesday, February 10th at 5:00 pm with a rosary following at 7 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 11th at 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, college funds have been established for Mark and Melissa's children or make a donation in Mark's name to the ALS association.
