Kara Lea Witkowski Cleckler, 40, of Frisco, TX, crossed over on Friday, January 10, 2014, following a courageous yet short battle with cancer.

Kara was born on December 30, 1973.  She graduated from Allen High School and continued on to receive her bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University.

Kara was married to her high school sweetheart, Shane Cleckler, while they were both attending Texas A&M.  They were blessed with two beautiful children, Thomas and Charlotte.  Living her lifelong dream, they shared their love and opened their hearts and home to five foster children.

Kara’s smile exemplified her joy for life and helping others.  Kara was an avid reader of inspirational materials and actively sought to use this information for the good of herself, others, and the world around her.  Kara enjoyed photography and had a gift for capturing the essence of happiness that life has to offer in her photos. Her greatest love and joy came from spending time with her beautiful family.

Kara is survived by her husband, Shane Cleckler; their children Thomas and Charlotte ; her parents John and Sue Witkowski; sister and brother in-law, Mika and Scott Graham and their children John and Kyle; maternal grandmother Velma Ruth Bullok; other close relatives including a niece and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins; as well as many close friends.

Kara is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Vernon J Witkowski; paternal grandmother Margaret Louise Witkowski-Foust;  step-grandfather Luther Foust;  and maternal grandfather, Carl L Bullok.
