Eric Arthur Bayley
Eric Arthur Bayley, 66, of Midland passed away on December 17, 2014. The family will be accepting guests from 2:00pm-4:00pm on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00am on Monday, December 22, 2014, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel. Eric was born on August 25, 1948 in Washington, D.C. to Kenneth and Christine Bayley. He was a member of the ROTC at The Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado. He earned a BS in Chemical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines, a BS in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University, and an MBA from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. Eric also served in the United States Army in the Corps of Engineers from June of 1970 to August of 1975 and was stationed in both Ft. Hood, Texas and Germany. On May 19, 1978, Eric married his soul mate, Paula, in Midland, Texas. Eric worked for numerous oil companies during his long career as a petroleum engineer, Chevron (1978), Damson and Tipperary (1980), BTA Oil Producers (1983-1988), and Parallel (1990-2012). After 22 years with Parallel, Eric finally settled in to retirement. Eric was a very generous, hard-working, loyal, dependable, and caring man. Family was always his number one priority. He was an incredible husband, father, father-in-law, brother, grandfather, and friend. Eric will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Survivors include Eric's loving wife of 36 years, Paula Bayley; sons, Andy Bayley and wife, Lisa, of Midland, Texas, Chad Bayley and wife, Stacey, of Denver, Colorado, and Bryan Bayley and wife, Katie, of Addison, Texas; grandchildren, Jaxson, Kenna, Hayden, Levi, and Reagan; mother and father-in-law, Paul W. and Neva Cooper of Midland, Texas ; brother, Charles Bayley and wife, Susan, of Bennett, Colorado; sister, Laura Peck and husband, Robert, of Cedaredge, Colorado; and numerous extended family members and friends. The family wishes to thank Eric's nurse, Sherry, and Hospice of Midland for their forethought and kind, responsive care.
