F. Joe Preisler, Jr 
(September 16, 1945 - December 3, 2014)

F. Joe Preisler, Jr., age 69 of East Bernard died Wednesday morning, December 3, 2014 in Houston. He was born on September 16, 1945 in Wharton, son of the late Frank Joseph Preisler, Sr and Josephine Balajka Preisler. Joe was a raised in Wharton county, attended Holy Family grade school and graduated from East Bernard High School in 1963. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University in January 1968. He married JoAnn Polak on August 27, 1967 in East Bernard. Joe worked in the banking industry all his life, specializing in Agriculture credit. He retired as Vice President of Prosperity Bank-East Bernard banking center. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, raising cattle, banking, and baseball. He was very active in the community, coached little league softball and baseball, served as president of the EB chamber of commerce and Brahma Booster club and chaired Church Bazaars. Joe was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and SPJST. Preceding him in death were his parents and sisters, Katherine and Diane Preisler. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 8th after 6 pm at Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard with a rosary recited at 7pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 10 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard with Rev. Donald Ruppert officiating. Entombment will follow in the Holy Cross Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Daniel Orsak, Larry Duyka, Michael Preisler, Robert Preisler, Randall Manville and Joey Polak. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Buck Boettcher, Raymond Rabius, Neil A. Banfield, Joe Doyle, Leonard Preisler, Stephen Luco and his brothers and brothers in law. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, JoAnn Preisler of East Bernard, daughter, Kerrie Preisler Rabius and husband, Russell of East Bernard, son, Trey Preisler and wife, Katie of Virginia, brothers, James Preisler and wife, Dorothy, and Robert Preisler and wife, Karen both of East Bernard and his granddaughter, Haley Grace Preisler with another grandchild on the way.
