Currie

Denise Marie Mueck Currie, loving wife and devoted Mother passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Friday, November 28, 2014, in her home in Humble, Texas, at the age of 48. She was born December 25, 1965, in Houston, Texas. Denise was a graduate of Northbrook High School and Texas A&M 
University. She was an employee of TGI Fridays for 25 years but after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer had to leave her position as General Manager, a responsible job which she loved dearly. During her career she made many lifelong friends. She was an inspiration and rock to all her employees and someone who lived life to the fullest. We could all rely on Denise. 

Denise treasured and was dedicated to her family: husband, Paul Currie; four adoring children, Justin and Nicole Felicia, and Lorne and Caitlynn Currie; parents, Gladys and Herman Mueck Jr. of Houston, TX; brother, Russell Mueck and wife, Natalie of Humble, TX; mother-in-law, Nita Currie of Humble, TX; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Denise is preceded in death by: grandparents, Grannie and Papa Mueck (Herman and Doris Mueck); Grannie and Papa Jahn (Frank and Clara Jahn); uncle, Monte Mueck; father-in-law, Horace Currie. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

She had a love for sports, gardening and seasonal decorating of their home, inside and out, which included a 
Haunted House that the neighborhood enjoyed. Denise was a member at the Lakewood Church of Atascocita and a committee member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Denise opened her home and heart to everyone when she hosted numerous birthday parties and family gatherings.

An Education Fund has been established at Chase Bank for the benefit of her four children. If anyone would like to make a donation, in lieu of flowers, your may send your check to:

Denise leaves a void in the lives of all she touched that will not be easily filled. She may be gone but will not be forgotten!
