Dr. Howard H. Hargroder

Born: September 10, 1933

Died: November 24, 2014

Location: Eunice, Louisiana

Dr. Howard H. Hargroder passed away on Monday, November 24, 2014, at the age of 81.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 28, 2014, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Msg. Robert Romero will officiate. Entombment will follow at St. Paul Mausoleum.

Dr. Howard H. Hargroder graduated from Church Point High School and the University of Southwestern 

Louisiana. He received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University.

Dr. Howard served the Eunice area as a Veterinarian for many years. After closing his private practice, 
he continued working with the USDA.

Howard is survived by three sons, Howard Hargroder and wife Phyllis of Eunice, Scotty Hargroder and wife Diana 
of Beaumont, TX, and Duane Hargroder of Church Point; three daughters, Patti Miller and husband Darryl of Church 
Point, Kelli Hargroder and Rick Predmore of Baton Rouge, and Colleen Brooks and husband Ken of Mt. Juliet, TN; 
one brother, Earl Hargroder Jr. of Crowley; one sister, Irma Lee Gremillion of Hot Springs Village, AR; twenty 
grandchildren; thirty-four great grandchildren; and numerous of great great-grandchildren.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Hargroder, Sr. and Irma Cannon Hargroder; his wife Carole 
"Sue" LaFosse Hargroder; one daughter, Deborah Sue Hargroder; one great granddaughter, Skylar Aguillard; one brother, 
Dr. Joe Hargroder.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Quirk & Son 
Funeral Home. A Rosary will be prayed by Deacon Gary Gaudin at 6 p.m. The funeral home will reopen at 8 a.m. on Friday, 
November 28, 2014, for visitation until the time of service.Quirk & Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
