1957-2014

Bryan Thomas Simmons of Houston, TX passed away on Friday November 14th 2014 of cardiac arrest . Bryan was born on March 16th 1957 in La Marque, Texas. He was the middle son of Jacqueline and Thomas Simmons. Bryan was a man with an incomparable list of qualities, friends and accomplishments.
At a young age he developed a love for reading which served him well in business as he seemed to know something about every subject in every conversation in the room. Bryan was always quite the athlete setting multiple AAU swimming records that lasted many years and received many offerings to play college football. He learned early on how to work with his hands with all of his father's business directions of home construction, laundromats, car washes, sand pit, building fountain prototypes, and taking apart and putting together car engines which lead to his love of engineering.
Bryan received an Ocean Engineering degree from Texas A&M Galveston and spent his summers working on a Corps of Engineering dredge ship.
After college he worked in the Oil and Gas business as an engineer, always quickly rising to Vice President. He always seemed to know where to drill and what portions of other oil companies were profitable.
His business success allowed him the privilege of traveling much of the world and amassing an incredibly long list of friends. He loved his wife and children more than anything else and always went out of his way to take care of them and make them happy. Bryan's laugh, genuine authenticity, and kind-hearted ways touched so many lives and he will be missed dearly by all.
Bryan is survived by his wife Karen, son Travis, daughter Cassie, mother Jacque, brothers Chris and Mark and dog Rico. Services will be held at First United Methodist Church, 200 FM 517 Dickinson, TX 77539 on Thursday, November 20th 2014 at 11 AM.
