Edward Richard Schadle
Edward Richard Schadle, age 63, of West Jefferson, passed away Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 7, 2010 at Ashe Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Dec. 11, at 1 p.m. at Boone Family Funeral Home with Mr. Gary Schadle officiating. Burial followed in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
The family received friends from 12-1 p.m. on Saturday at Boone Family Funeral Home.
Mr. Schadle was born in Alleghany County on Monday, April 28, 1947 to the late Gustav Edward Schadle and Margaret Walsh Schadle. He worked in research and development of food science.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Jacquelyn Whitley Schadle, on March 12, 2006.
Mr. Schadle is survived by two daughters, Carrie Schadle of Houston, TX and Tina Dover of Boston, MA; his mother, Margaret Walsh Schadle of Pittsburgh, PA; two brothers, Gary Schadle of Pittsburgh, PA and David Schadle of Pittsburgh, PA; two sisters, Cathy Hanley of Charlotte and Judy Deane of Pittsburgh, PA; a granddaughter, Sophia Dover of Boston, MA; two former spouses, Betty Schadle and Marie Earley; and several nieces and nephews.
