Dr. William Thomas Brian
Dr. William Thomas Brian, of Houston, Texas, died Sept. 25, 2014, at M.D. Anderson hospital in Houston.
Tommy was born March 23, 1945 in Smackover, Arkansas, along with his twin sister Ann. The family moved from Little Rock, Arkansas to Weatherford in 1959.
He attended junior and senior high school in Weatherford, where he played football. He continued playing football at McMurray College in Abilene. The rest of his college career was at Texas A&M University in College Station, where he graduated with a doctorate
of veterinary medicine in 1972.
His future wife, Deborah Magruder, was also a graduate of Texas A&M vet school and they were married a month after graduation.
Together they owned a vet hospital in Mandeville, Louisiana, until Hurricane Katrina demolished their hospital and damaged their home. They then moved to Montgomery, Texas, and now reside in Houston.
Tom is survived by his wife, Deborah; daughter, Elizabeth Moss and her husband, Brent; son, William Thomas Brian II (Billy) and wife, Kelly, and their sons, William Thomas Brian III (Beau), Charlie and Luke; son, Marcus and his wife, Robyn, and their sons,
Marcus and Henry. Other survivors include his mother, Wanda Brian, of Weatherford; sister, Mary Jean Easley and husband, Lynn, of Arlington, TX; twin sister, Ann Morris and husband, Harry, of Conroe; brothers, Dr. David Brian and wife, Linda, of Bossier City,
Louisiana, Jimmy Brian and wife, Kathy, of Pasadena, TX, and Bobby Brian, of Brownwood, TX; eight nieces and five nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, William Ross Brian, of Weatherford.
A celebration of his life will be held in Mandeville, Louisiana.
