Buz Canon
Olin Buz Canon, Jr. was born on May 5, 1928, in Brownwood, TX. He passed away on September 6, 2014, in Houston, TX. He was known to friends and family as 'Buz'. 
Buz is survived by his daughter, Amanda Marie Canon Willson, and husband, Brandon, of Katy, TX; sister, Mrs. Ike (Betty) Robb, of Dallas, TX; nephews, J. Y. (Ike) Robb, III and wife, Susan, of Dallas, Buz Bennett Robb and wife, Sheree, of Midland, TX, Scott Robb and wife, Sandra, of Seattle, Washington. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eva Pearle Sypert Canon and Olin Buz Canon, Sr.; son, Olin Buz Canon, III, and daughter, Mary Clark Canon; and aunt, Frances Spindle.
Buz attended Texas A&M where he played bass drum in the Aggie band and was a commissioned officer in the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets. He graduated in 1949, with a degree in mechanical engineering. Buz was a loving father who could interject humor in every situation. He looked on the positive side of everything. He was a loyal friend whose Christian faith sustained him. His friends and family will miss his gentle spirit and humor.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at the Second Baptist Hankamer Chapel, 6400 Woodway, Houston, TX. 77057.
