Robert Alan "Bob" Houghton, age 50 of League City, TX passed away August 14, 2014 at his home. He was born on New Year's Eve, December 31, 1963 in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He was one of six children born to William and Elizabeth Wenman Houghton. In 1982 he graduated
from St. Joseph Catholic High School in Kenosha, WI. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1994 from Texas A & M University. For 20 years he worked for NASA-Lockheed Martin-Jacobs in Clear Lake, TX as a mechanical engineer.
Survivors include his son, Alan Houghton of San Antonio; parents, Bill and Betty Houghton of San Antonio; siblings and their spouses, Laurie and Kevin Brothers, Sandee and Mark Gardinier, Sue and Chris Tenuta all of Kenosha, WI, Gina and Patrick Ware, Mike
and Casey Houghton all of San Antonio; ex-wife and friend, Annie Houghton of San Antonio; four nieces and six nephews. The Mass of Resurrection will be held Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014 at 10:00 a.m., at St. Louis Catholic Church, 1306 Angelo Street, Castroville,

1963 - 2014
Robert Houghton, 50, of League City, Texas, passed away at home Aug. 14, 2014, due to complications from diabetes.
He was born Dec. 31, 1963, the son of William and Elizabeth Houghton, in Kenosha, Wis. In 1991 he was united in marriage to Annie Reynolds. He was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in 1982 and obtained a B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M
in 1994. During his 20-year career as a mechanical engineer he was employed with NASA--Lockheed Martin--Jacobs in Clear Lake, Texas.
Robert enjoyed marathon running and completed 11 marathons; liked hiking, cycling, enjoyed traveling, photography and was a car enthusiast. He completed his bucket list by hiking to the top of Mount Whitney this past June.
He is survived by his parents; son, Alan Michael Houghton of San Antonio, Texas; siblings, Laurie (Kevin) Brothers of Pleasant Prairie, Sandee (Mark) Gardinier of Kenosha, Sue (Chris) Tenuta of Kenosha, Gina (Patrick) Ware of San Antonio, Michael (Casey) Houghton
of San Antonio; four nieces and six nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, aunt and uncles.
A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, at 10 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church in Castroville, Texas. Interment at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to American Diabetes Association , P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria,
VA 22312. Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
