Harvey Lewis
Harvey Lewis passed away on July 29, 2014. He was born on January 16, 193[3]. Harvey was a native Houstonian graduating from Reagan High School Houston Heights in 1950 also graduating from Texas A & M in 1954. His great thrill was flying planes for the USAF,
and he was commissioned as a pilot, flying B 36's 1955-1957 and retired from the USAF Reserves as a Major. He was president of the Houston Heights Kiwanis Chapter. He became active in the Houston Rodeo and volunteered. Harvey had owned insurance business which
closed in 2013. He was a dedicated fan of Texas A & M, and lover all his life of jazz music. His life was enriched by his Texas Aggie cohorts and his jazz buddies and his love for the rodeo all things and especially his family. He was predeceased by his parents,
Joseph and Clara Lewis, his son Alan Lewis. He is survived by his son, Steven Jay Lewis and wife Carmen, grandchildren Zen and Dakota Lewis, step children Luis Angel, Monserrat and Jessica, brother David Lewis and sister-in-law, Millicent, brother, Paul Lewis
and sister-in-law, Jane, and nephews, Gregory Lewis, Terrence Lewis, Randolph Lewis, Adam Lewis and Parker Lewis. Graveside service will be held 10:00 am, Friday, August 1, 201 at Beth Yeshurun Post Oak Cemetery. Rabbi Steve Gross officiating.
