Larry Lee Lackey
November 9, 1951 - July 26, 2014
KINGWOOD- Funeral services for Larry Lee Lackey, 62, of Atascocita, Texas, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 31, 2014, in the chapel of Kingwood Funeral Home with Stan Harvey officiating.
Larry was born in Beaumont, Texas on November 9, 1951, and lived the majority of his life in Lufkin, Texas and the Houston area. He graduated from Lufkin High School in 1970 and Texas A&M University in 1973 with a B. S. degree. He immediately began teaching math in the Pasadena Independent School District and ultimately began his flight attendant career with Continental Airlines in 1997, until his retirement this year.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Pauline Lackey, and sister Laura Ann Lackey Cox.
He is survived by sister Debbie Lackey Schwander and husband Billy Schwander of Seabrook, Texas, and brother Gary Lackey, of Atascocita, Texas. He is also survived by nieces Sheila Shedd, Shannon Cox and Ashley Gardner; nephews Will Schwander, Nate Schwander, Colin Lackey, Cory Lackey, Kevin Lackey and grand niece and nephew Vera Lynn Gardner and Trent Gardner. In addition he is survived by very close friends Lee Mullennex, Susie Ayers and Carol Ann Ayers, along with many other supportive cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m until 8:00 p.m on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at Kingwood Funeral Home. Services have been placed in the trust of Kingwood Funeral Home.
