David Schwartz Jr.David Schwartz, Jr passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2014 surrounded by his family. David was born to Claudia and David Schwartz, Sr on November 5, 1924 in Earle, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Sarah Pryzant Schwartz. David is survived by his loving children Deeanne Schwartz Rosenberg and her husband Richard, David Schwartz, III, cherished granddaughter Hannah Jacqueline Pryzant Rosenberg and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. David was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and son who will be greatly missed by all who knew and admired him. David left college to serve in World War II and afterwards returned to Texas A&M College to complete his degree in Education. He was dedicated to his family and his career as a middle school teacher and college professor. David served as Department Chairman for many years, was on numerous textbook committees and was involved in a multitude of education related activities. Graveside funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 2:45pm in the Beth Yeshurun Post Oak Cemetery. Rabbi Jack Segal officiated. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Houston Holocaust Museum or the American Cancer Society .
