CHARLES "CHUCK" SCHRIEBER
AUGUST 22, 1927 - MARCH 1, 2014

Chuck Schrieber, 86, of Lake Jackson, a loving husband, father, grandfather and servant of the Lord, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014. He was born August 22, 1927, to Cody and Emma Rosenbach Schrieber.

He served in the U. S. Coast Guard and was member of First Christian Church in Lake Jackson. He held multiple positions of leadership, provided spiritual guidance and had a strong commitment to discipleship. He was a graduate of Texas A&M and a lifetime member of the A&M Club. He worked for Dow over 30 years. After retirement, he worked as a consultant for many companies.

Chuck was City of Lake Jackson Beautification Chairman and was responsible for landscaping on Oyster Creek Drive, a member of the Rose Society, Men?s Garden Club in Lake Jackson and the Daylily Society. He was also a volunteer of Sea Center in Lake Jackson since its beginning, very active in the Boy Scouts and a member of the Heavenly Harmonizers.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Dee Schrieber; daughters, Nancy Standlee and husband, Alan, Rosanne Keathley and husband, Mike; sister, Mary Pickard and husband, Bob; grandchildren, Sarah Berkey (James), Mark Standlee (Mindy), Matthew Keathley (Syvette) and Mitchell Keathley (Fiancee, Amanda); great-grandchildren, Landon, Brooklyn, Joshua, Nathan and Lane; and many other loving relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Fred and Jerry Schrieber; and sister, Marge Wood.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Memorial Fund of First Christian Church of Lake Jackson.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, March 6, 2014, at 11:30 a.m., at First Christian Church, 503 Oyster Creek Drive, Lake Jackson, Texas, with Rev. Cynthia Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Restwood Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at First Christian Church of Lake Jackson.

The family would like to thank Amy Flores for her loving care of Chuck during his last year.
