Tom was a well-known veterinarian in El Paso who owned the Northeast Veterinary Clinic. Tom's many friends and clients knew him as a kind, intelligent, and caring person who loved animals and people alike. He was a very skilled veterinarian who worked on all types of animals including fish and birds.
Tom was named the Companion Animal Practioner of the Year by the Texas Veterinary Medical Association in the year 2000. This honor singled Tom out as the best companion animal (small & exotic animal) veterinarian in Texas. Tom always had a kind word and gentle manner that appealed to both people and pets. He was also generous with his time spending over 3 years on the public health board for the City of El Paso as well as many other organizations. He was a wonderful person who will be missed. He is survived by his wife Joyce, son Jason, and granddaughter.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Martin Funeral Home West. Interment will follow at 1:00 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Martin Funeral Home West, 128 N. Resler Dr., El Paso, Texas 79912. www.MartinFuneralHomeWest.com
