James Uptmore III
UPTMORE
James Herman Uptmore III (J.J.) went to live with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and his best friend and brother, Shelton, on March 6, 2014. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on March 4, 1986 to Tracy Killian Uptmore and James Herman Uptmore, Jr., (Sonny). He was a life-long member of St. Mark the Evangelist Church where he received early Christian education, sacraments and participated in many sports activities and AACTS retreats which became a true blessing. J.J. graduated in 2004 from Ronald Reagan High School. He received a BBA degree from Texas A&M University with a double major in Management and Supply Chain Management earning a 3.8 GPA in 2009, continuing a proud legacy of Aggies. The eldest of five brothers, he led them as they went adventuring, always caring for their needs and safety. Love and respect characterized all of J.J.'s family relationships, but he was especially close to his younger brother Shelton John Uptmore, who preceded him in death in 2007. Being the best father he could be to his small son, "Cuatro", was J.J's greatest joy and passion. He loved the outdoors, the beach, music and spending time with his friends. He is survived by his son, James Herman Uptmore IV; his parents; grandparents, Diane Nash, John Moore Killian and wife, Jessie Allan Killian, James Herman Uptmore and Janice Tschirhart Uptmore; brothers, David Hileman Uptmore, Cameron Alan Uptmore and Chance Anthony Uptmore and dearly loved by 24 cousins and numerous aunts and uncles. Please join us to celebrate the life and share memories of J.J. The family will receive friends at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 5:00 p.m., followed by the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. The family will also receive friends on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.
