Shreveport, LA - Mr. J. Harold Summers, 85, passed away on Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at Grace Home from kidney failure. Graveside services will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at Forest Park Cemetery. Officiating will be Dr. Carl Rhoads of First United Methodist Church.

Mr. Summers was a native of Alexandria, LA and a resident of Shreveport for most of his life. He was a Texas Aggie, class of '49; a veteran of the USMCR; a Freemason; and a member of First United Methodist Church, Shreveport. Harold was a stockbroker at Merrill Lynch in Shreveport for over 40 years.

Mr. Summers is survived by two sons, James H. Summers, Jr. and wife, Kathy, of Palmer, AK and Robert A. Summers; two grandsons, James P. Summers, of Houston, TX and Thomas Summers, of Anchorage, AK; and one great grandson, Dawson Summers.
