Graveside services for Allen Lynn Schuchardt, 65, of Lufkin, will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the Glenwood Cemetery in Groveton with Brother Keith Woolf and Brother Ray Pinner officiating. Mr. Schuchardt was born July 28, 1948 in San Antonio, Texas to the late Willie Mae (Vogt) and Wayne L. Schuchardt, and raised in Boerne. He died Friday, December 13, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Schuchardt was a telecommunications engineer for Lufkin-Conroe Telephone Company/Consolidated Communications with 24 years of service. He was a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree. Mr. Schuchardt served his country in the United States Navy. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and loved his dogs. Survivors include his wife, Myra J. (Moody) Schuchardt of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Valerie Williams of Round Rock, Joseph and Faith Schuchardt of Cypress; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sister, Joan Schuchardt of Houston; brother, Lewis Schuchardt of Milton, Florida; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Randy Burnette, Jerry Williams, James Moody, John Moody, Trent Clark and James Wood. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Angelina County's Winnie Berry Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 472, Lufkin, Texas 75902. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon at the cemetery prior to the service. Memories and condolences may be added at www.carrowayfuneralhome.com.
