Lori Young Cupps
Lori passed from this life to the next on July 10, 2013, at home in Manchester, MO after an extended illness. She was 50 years young. A memorial service will be held Saturday, 10:00 AM, July 13, 2013, at The First Evangel Free Church, Carman Drive, Manchester, MO. Visitation will be held following the service. She is survived by her husband, Brian, sons, Jacob, and Justin, her parents, Ernest & Andrea Young of Ruston, LA, siblings Ernest Young, IV of Ruston, Virginia & Grace Young of New Orleans, and Roxanne Lee of Choudrant. Her extended Cupps Family, Rayanne Cupps & Christina C. Pasque of St. Louis area, Tom Cupps of Gaithersburg, MD, John Cupps & Carolyn C. Davis of Sacramento, CA, plus many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents of E. Lee and Armede Young of Ruston, LA, maternal grandparents of Gordon & Birdie Meek of Glenmora, LA. Lori graduated from Ruston High School, LA Tech & Texas A & M Universities. She was active member in the Bearcat Belles, and the Phi Mu Fraternity. She met and married her husband, Brian, while in Graduate School at Texas A & M University. They moved to Houston, where Brian taught at the University of St. Thomas. They then moved to St. Louis where both worked in medical research through Barnes Jewish Christian Hospital and Washington University. Lori and Brian found their calling in the ministry of their Church, being active as teachers, lay ministers, and mission projects. She was a dedicated mother to her boys and spouse to her husband. She is remembered by enumerable friends, she made throughout her lifetime.
