Coushatta, LA – Funeral services for Samuel Boyd Wachel, 77, were held 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 3,
2013, at Springville Cemetery in Coushatta, LA with Reverend Jeff Shows officiating. The family will receive family and friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Coushatta, LA on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.
Mr. Sam was born February 28, 1936 in Arp, TX and passed away, December 30, 2012, after a lengthy illness in Shreveport, LA. Sam was a proud graduate of Texas A&M University. During his life he proudly served his country in the United States ARMY.
Preceding Sam in death were his parents Martin and Inez Eschberger Wachel; daughter Becky Frye; and a brother James Wachel.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son Sam Wachel, Jr. and wife Gwen; daughter Tammy Brown and husband Charles; brother Buddy Wachel and wife Betty Jean; and grandson Charles Frye and wife Princess.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the Grace Home, 1035 Margaret Place, Shreveport, LA 71101.
