ROGER MELVIN CURRIER IV Roger Melvin Currier IV, 77, beloved husband of Shirley Anne, died at home on September 22, 2012 after a long battle with colon cancer. The son of General and Mrs. Roger Currier, West Point military graduate with a Masters in Engineering from Texas A&M University, Roger worked with the US Army Corps of Engineers and the State Department. Roger was born in Chicago, IL and lived in Hawaii, Alaska, Japan, UK, Albania, Kenya and St. Croix US Virgin Islands. Respected and loved father to Nina Gadsdon of the United Kingdom, Annemarie Geneser, Victoria Ehr, Liz Sibley and Timothy Fahey of Kodiak, AK, he was known affectionately as "Grumpy" to the many grandchildren, Sarah, Nicholas, Jenny, Elizabeth, Rachel, Alexandra, Chris, Julian, Maximilian, Richard; great-grandchildren, Ryder and Imogen and nephews, Clifford and Roger Currier. All who knew him admired his brilliance, sparkling wit and his proven ability to get things done. A service will be held at the Healing Chapel at The Church of the Good Shepherd on Wednesday, September 26 at 6:00 PM. Donations may be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County.
