Requirements

  • Texas A&M University undergraduate or graduate degree.
  • Without a graduate degree:

    Master's Thesis Option

    1. Defended Thesis
        Due to ordering deadlines, you may order at the beginning of the semester you will graduate. Your Ring will be delivered on Aggie Ring Day if you have defended your thesis prior to the deadline set by the Office of Graduate Studies. If you do not defend your thesis prior to this date, your Ring will be held until the qualification is met.
      Must not be on academic probation, suspension, dismissal, expulsion, or on honor violation probation from the university.

    Master's Non-thesis Option

    1. 75% of coursework completed for degree program at TAMU
    2. Must not be on academic probation, suspension, dismissal, expulsion, or on honor violation probation from the university.

    Ph.D. Students

    1.  Admitted to Ph.D. candidacy
    2. Must not be on academic probation, suspension, dismissal, expulsion, or on honor violation probation from the university.

  • You do not have a Texas A&M undergraduate degree, but you meet the following requirements:
    1. Credit Hours
      1. Cumulative Hours
        • 90 cumulative undergraduate credit hours reflected on the Texas A&M University record. You cannot transfer hours in after leaving the University to qualify.
      2. Resident Hours
        • Attended after December 31, 1993: Must have 45 undergraduate resident hours at Texas A&M University.
        • Attended prior to January 1, 1994: Must have 30 undergraduate resident hours at Texas A&M University.
        • Last 30 credit hours on the Texas A&M University transcript must have been completed in residence at A&M.
      3. GPR
        • Attended after June 1, 1969: A 2.00 cumulative GPR at A&M (under a four point system) must be reflected on the Texas A&M University record.
        • Attended prior to May 31, 1969: A 1.00 cumulative GPR at A&M (under a three point system) must be reflected on the Texas A&M University record.
      4. Must not have left the university on academic probation, suspension, dismissal, expulsion, or on honor violation probation.
