  • Federal Privacy Act : The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) is a federal law which provides minimum standards for the management of student education records for universities receiving funds made available under any federal program administered by the U.S. Commissioner of Education. The Act provides, among other things, that an institution will maintain the confidentiality of student education records and that students will have the right to inspect most education records an institution maintains on them. • Diamond Clarity : A gemstone's relative freedom from inclusions and blemishes. Sometimes called purity; in Europe, quality. Definition found at: www.gia.org
  • Diamond Color : Diamonds range in color from icy winter whites to warm summer whites. Diamonds are graded on a color scale established by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) which ranges from D (colorless) to Z. Warmer colored diamonds (K–Z) are particularly desirable when set in yellow gold. Icy winter whites (D–J) look stunning set in white gold or platinum. Color differences are very subtle and it is very difficult to see the difference between, say, an E and an F. Therefore, colors are graded under controlled lighting conditions and are compared to a master set for accuracy. Definition found at: http://www.adiamondisforever.com/buy/4cs_print.html
