N.Y. Times puts A&M's jerky in national spotlight

Story Highlights:
• Articles in the New York Times ranked beef jerky from Texas A&M's Rosenthal Meat Science and Technology Center the best among seven in a double-blind taste test.
• The center normally sells 100 pounds in a month. When one of the articles appeared, it shipped out 100 pounds in a single day.
• Orders have come in from at least 22 states across the country.
• Students and BCS residents have been buying the jerky since the 1980s, but the national attention has created a backlog of orders, and there is now a two-week wait before new orders can be filled.
