Luckey
Graveside services for Perry Luckey, 72, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002 in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale with Rev. Doug Springer of Rockdale Full Gospel Church, retired, officiating. He died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2002 in the Harris HEB Hospital in Bedford.
Mr. Luckey, a Kellar resident the past two years, formerly lived in Richland Hills the past 18 years. He was born March 29, 1930 in Rockdale to Dorrell Emmit and Thelma Beatrice (Beaty) Luckey.
Mr. Luckey, a CPA with Arco Petroleum, was a graduate of Riverside High School in Fort Worth and Texas A&M University. He was a Ranger in the US Armed Forces, loved classical music, was a staunch Aggie, kind, gentle and generous.
Mr. Luckey lovingly cared for neighbors who could not care for themselves and never asked for anything in return. This wonderful man will forever be in the hearts of those who loved him. May God give him the rest and peace and love he so richly deserves.
Preceding him in death were his father, Aug. 8, 1979; mother, June 14, 1986; sister, Martha Ann Luckey Feb. 25, 1993.
Surviving are: Friends, Jim and Vicki Truett of Keller, Lisa Truitt of Saginaw and Becki Nix of Saginaw.
