Scott Mahan '78 of Fort Worth wanted to pass along some "good bull" news! Last year, Scott purchased a Century Tree seedling and planted it in a specially-designed, raised flower bed in his front yard - complete with its own drip-irrigation circuit. This
past week, Scott purchased a full pallet of Kyle Field turf and trucked it back to Fort Worth in his 3/4-ton pickup - an experience he called "interesting." He has now planted his Kyle Field grass alongside his Century Tree seedling - which is FIRST among
A&M Former Students! Scott even rigged up his own device for spray-painting the yard lines on his Kyle Field turf - which he separated from the "lowly common grass" with concrete and metal barriers. Who else but a maroon-blooded Aggie would conceive the idea
of planting Kyle Field grass alongside a young Century Tree in his front yard? That's GOOD BULL, Aggies!
