The Student Counseling Center supports the academic and student development missions of Texas A&M University through personal development, providing students with a full range of professional services including personal and career counseling.
Recently, The Association of Former Students gave the Student Counseling Center the funds to purchase new shirts—to help them be easily recognizable as counselors for students’ benefit. Executive Director Maggie Gartner wrote in a letter to The Association,
“I just wanted to share with you a picture of the SCS staff in the brand new shirts purchased with The Association’s funding assistance. For years we’ve needed a quick way to be identified as from the Student Counseling Service when we go out to provide crisis
intervention or other psychological services. The Association’s most generous gift allows us to do so.
“It feels so good to be valued by our students and former students! Thank you to you all from the bottom of my heart.”
