Costa Rica 2011 - A Hot Time!

Kathryn Greenwade '88 April 4, 2011 11:24 PM

The Traveling Aggies spent 10 days touring Costa Rica - by land and by sea.  We enjoyed 3 days on land visiting the Los Angeles Cloud Forest, Arenal Volcano and Rio Frio.  Along the way we saw a variety of wildlife including monkeys, sloths, iguanas and many, many unique and beautiful birds.   After 3 days on land we boarded the luxurious Wind Star for a seven day cruise along the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica.  Ports of Call included San Juan del Sur, Nicaraga; Playa del Coco; Quepos; Bahia Drake; Curu and Tortuga.  The beaches were beautiful and excursions ranged from the peaceful and relaxing to the advenutre of zip lining along the tree tops.  The service and attention provided by the staff of the Wind Star was top rate and we all enjoyed the small ship atmosphere and meeting new friends from all over the world.

To my 22 Aggie companions on this adventure, thank you for making this a wonderful trip!
