Fourth of July Celebrations in Brazos Valley

The Association of Former Students and the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center will be closed on July 4 in observance of Independence Day. Our summer hours of operation will resume on Wednesday, July 5.

Here are a few events happening around the Bryan-College Station area to celebrate the holiday with your family:

Sunday, July 2:

Patriotic Pops - A Musical Celebration of America
6 p.m., Christ United Methodist Church

Monday, July 3:

Community Wide July 3rd Celebration & Fireworks Display
6 p.m., Elizabeth Lutheran Church

Tuesday, July 4:

Firecracker 5K - part of the BCS Race Series
8 a.m., Brazos Running Company

"I Love America" Fourth of July Celebration - annual event organized by the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum, College Station Noon Lions Club, and the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra. Museum opens 9:30 a.m., fireworks show to begin at 9:30 p.m. And @KBTXShel will be keeping an eye on the weather throughout the day.

Brazos County District 2 Volunteer Fire Department Fireworks Show
5 p.m., Kurten Community Center

Biggest Small Town Parade in Texas & Cowboy Round Up
10 a.m., Downtown Chappell Hill

And, good news, Ags - according to Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, the watermelon crop in Texas is looking good!
